A sister in our ward (Erin May) had their dog pass away this week. She is a single sister and has had this dog (Chauncey) for many years. We knew that she must be feeling lonely and sad so we thought to cheer her up we could heart-attack her door to let her know we love her and are thinking of her. While we were up putting the hearts on the door. The door must not have been shut all the way because when one of the kids pushed a heart on the door to make it stick they pushed the door open. We quickly shut it, but that was a giveaway that we were there. I was surprised that she was as calm as she was with just seeing her front door just open and suddenly shut. She came out to investigate and found us. But it gave us an opportunity to talk to her and to not just show our love with little paper hearts but to show it through our words too. We love doing service love as a family!
