Ellanor is such a smart cookie. One of her major strengths is her spelling ability. I am always amazing that she can hear a word for the first time and know exactly how it is spelled. She was 1st in her 1st grade class, so she was able to go on and compete against all the other top two first grade spellers from the other classes. There were 10 first graders in the school wide 1st grade spelling bee and Ella took second place.
At first she was pretty sad, because she got out on a word that she knows. But we reminded her that she also did get a few words right that she was working very hard on. We are nothing but so very proud of our Ella girl!
To celebrate we had a spelling "B" cake ;)
